I’m not going to write a lot to this Psalm today but intsead just share the words from Fischer’s version that spoke to me and then share some photos of the last few days - winter, water, focus changes, and of course Scout...
Open hands, open heart, the now famous bench, still water is all an invitation to step into the water and float on the surface. I love to float on my back when I’m the only one in the lake. It takes just a little bit of energy to stay afloat like that and the sky doesn’t offer a point of reference whether it’s cloudy or pure blue. This is resting in the arms of God.
When I lived in the country in North Carolina, some mornings I would see the mist. It seemed a mysterious presence to me and every so often a fox would come out of the mist, you wouldn’t see her and then, all of a sudden, there she was. I felt that the mist was comforting, it spoke to me without words. I felt it represented the mystery of a loving presence, greater than myself.
Jesus ducks - Hahaheeheeeheee.

Yes indeed. Although I'm not getting in this particular body of water right now. 🥶
It’s not frozen over yet, is it?
It is getting there - I'll send you a photo...

I love this. I feel that way about the herons at this lake. They connect with me in similar ways. Thank you for sharing.
