The Second Gaze - What Is It?

I guess the “what is it” of this is probably pretty easy...A pretty stunning crystalline ice structure from when one of my sons and I were on a hike yesterday.  But the thing for me with it is just in the wonder of how it all happens.  I know there’s a beautiful scientific explanation for it but I just get lost in the wonder of the beauty of it.  

You have multiplied, O LORD my God,
your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;
none can compare with you.
Were I to proclaim and tell of them,
they would be more than can be counted.
