The Second Gaze - Sunrise

Grey and cloudy-that has pretty much been our sunrises throughout 2021 so far. There have been a few glimpses of sunlight and color, but very few and far between. But even still I'm going to stubbornly go out for my sunrise walk most every morning. Even though I'm not seeing the brilliant colors of a cheat morning's sunrise, the light is still present, and a new day is beginning. The scripture coming to my heart this morning is Hebrews 11: 1...

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

You know, these words apply to a lot more than just the light that begins a new day...
