The Second Gaze - Set of Two
On two separate walks yesterday, I saw pairs of gloves that had been left behind- one frozen into the snow, one put up onto tree branches. One I saw in the early morning, one in the early evening. With both, I wondered the same things-whose were they, what happened to have them behind, are they missed? Did they have another pair of gloves? Can they afford another pair?
And the crowds asked John, “What then should we do?” In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.”
