The Journey of Holy Week - Tuesday
I have never been to Chartres, France to see the labyrinth in the cathedral there (considered to be the ancestor of modern labyrinths) but the labyrinth today (At the Jesuit Center in Milford, Ohio) is a very close replica of the Chartres one. It is huge and beautiful. In the spring and summer, it is surrounded by lush green grass and with the Little Miami River in the background. It is full of life.
A friend told me the story of walking this labyrinth praying about a direction for what was next in life and she kept hearing a woodpecker and finally, something spoke to her about how it was God tapping at her to slow down and listen. I believe there is a woodpecker making some noise in the background of today's walks.
