Symmetry
Gotta say that I'm a big fan of symmetry. The last few days have felt full of it. I started reading the Psalms the day before the last wedding I did back in March - just as the shutdowns were beginning. I finished the Psalms yesterday - the day before the wedding I am leading tonight. I began the read thru just as schools moved online and ended the day after our kids had orientation for their new and very different year ahead. My first in-depth read of the Psalms was when I was going through a period of intuse personal challenges. I was led to again read them in the midst of a time of intense global and national challenges. Yesterday, a morning walk at Long Branch and another today, taking in the sky from the same spot.
Not quite sure what the deeper meaning of all this is other than seeing patterns and making connections. Finding where the present moment connects with what has been with an eye toward what may be ahead. It speaks to me of searching for how God's hand is moving and how I am to move with that guiding matter what may be ahead.
