Psalm Photos - 150 - Conclusion
Psalm 150
Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty firmament!
Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his surpassing greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with clanging cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

I was at Walgreens this morning picking up a prescription for my daughter and saw one of these “inspirational books” racks near the pharmacy. I was absent-mindedly looking at the titles when one caught my eye “The Illustrated Guide to God.” Got me thinking that a new book wasn’t really necessary to do so as I feel like (at least for me) that I have come to the end of a guide to illustrating a lot of God through the words of the Psalms and the images that spoke out of those Psalms for me. It has been an unbelievable journey for me as I have seen and experienced the Psalms in ways that I never have before. This 150th Psalm speaks of all the ways we can praise God and the places we can do the same. For me, I feel like I have been able to capture a great deal of that through these words and images. My picture for today is a collection of some of the most significant images for me that capture a breadth of the songs that have made up this journey - songs of praise and joy, laments of anger and anguish, reflections on the stories of the past and hopes for the future, the struggles of walking the life of faith, and the beauty captured in what we see around us, what we hear in music, and ultimately the call that God places upon all our lives.
Selah. Amen.
