Psalm Photos - 134 - Thank You
Psalm 134
Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!
Lift up your hands to the holy place, and bless the Lord.
May the Lord, maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

We come to the last of the Psalms of Ascent in this section of the Psalms. It feels very much like a good close of the journey up the hill to Jerusalem. We have had prayers of all kinds and we come to a closing song of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving for God's creation, Thanksgiving for servants of the Lord, Thanksgiving for God. We can never say thank you enough to God for who God is and what God has done. Similarly we cannot honestly thank others for the ways that they have blessed our lives. I know I wrote a few passages back about the many who I am thankful for in my life who have impacted me. But beyond that, do we say thank you enough to others? Are we watching for the many things that people have done, shared, offered, and given? Have we thanked others simply for who they are and what they mean to us? Saying thank you is a blessing we can share. Thank you.
