Psalm Photos - 130 - Morning
Psalm 130
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!
If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem.
It is he who will redeem Israel from all its iniquities.

One of the things that I love the most about our house is our Magnolia tree that our deck was built around. Maggie (as we call her) is beautiful and gives the most wonderful shade at this time of the year. The other part we love is the blooms that she gives each summer. The beautiful blooms are just majestic and I have taken so many different pictures of them. But one of the things that I have noticed this year is the shift of the blooms throughout the day. In the mornings, they are closed up tight as they wait for the sun to rise and then they slowly open up to the light of the day. They are like the soul that watches for the morning like this Psalm speaks of - a soul that waits for the warming sun to come and set it free. The light of life that is God's steadfast love and redemption. As I write this at about 10pm, I too await for what the morning will bring tomorrow. I look forward to God's light shining forth in me and in others.
