Psalm Photos - 119:89-96 - Lamed - Fixed
Psalm 119:89-96
The Lord exists forever; your word is firmly fixed in heaven.
Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
By your appointment they stand today, for all things are your servants.
If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my misery.
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.
I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts.
The wicked lie in wait to destroy me, but I consider your decrees.
I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.

I woke this morning around 5:15 and looked outside to see a stunningly beautiful sight to the east. The crescent moon hung low in the sky with Venus shining right below. Two figures that have been around for seemingly longer than I can conceive of. I look up and know that to me, these are signs of the awesome Creator of all. They have "always" hung there and are fixed to rise, continue their orbits and continue to remind of the awesome timelessness and power of God. The line that also got me thinking further was about how all things are ultimately servants of God and of God's word. Even Venus, even the moon, even me, even us. All fixed here by God's appointment and all servants of the living God. Hallelujah!!!
