Psalm 96 - Sing a New Song

Throughout this read-through of the Psalms during Covid-19, I have been going through Martha Spong's collection of poems based upon the Psalms which is entitled Words of Her Mouth. It has been such a life-giving, soul-speaking, encouraging and challenging read. When I came to Psalm 96, which begins "O Sing to the Lord a New Song", I also read new words of a familiar hymn. Julia Seymour wrote a new hymn entitled "There Is No One Like Our Mother" and they are beautiful, powerful, deeply meaningful lyrics. So, with the help of wonderful musicians from the church I serve (Toni Sheffer on piano and Talia Zoll's vocals), I share this with you (with a brief intro by me before the song. Be blessed.
