Photos of My (Two) Weeks
It has been a busy last few weeks in our house with moving kids home from college so this is a bit of looking back at the last two weeks. With that parenting reality in mind, probably the two photos that spoke the most to me over the last few weeks were of new life. I saw my first goslings of the year and then saw the eaglet that is being cared for by parents in a protected nest near one of my regular trails.

In past years in my journal I had been seeing photos of springtime babies and was looking for them and then there were the goslings on Friday and the eaglet on Sunday. New life. Beautiful.
On my way to get my daughter, I stopped at a lake near the interstate to take in that day’s sunrise and was treated to just a beautiful combination of a lightly foggy morning and the dance between the light, the water, and the haze.

I also got a moment at a bit of a “holy place” (sarcasm) as I got to visit the site of the first Waffle House…
And then just a few others - some random purple beauty on a walk in our neighborhood, Scout cuddling with her llama (yes, my dog has a llama), and then the beauty of Mother’s Day flowers in worship on Sunday.

I am grateful for beauty and life all around.
