PhotoPsalm 1 - Super Duper
In my most recent conversation with my spiritual director, we talked about what was next after the Psalms. Jan asked about me crafting my own Psalms. I honestly wrote it off a bit but the idea has stuck with me. Thank you Jan!
To do it, though, I'm going to start with an outside prompt this month-a photo a day and see what emerges. So, the first theme (Sep 1) was “Super Duper!” Yes Super Duper. So, here goes...
Super Duper
Super duper is returning to this tree on a day when it feels like the light is fading.
Super duper is seeing the limbs of the tree reaching up past the frame of the picture.
Super duper is wondering whether the limbs ever stop reaching to the sky.
Super duper is never failing to see in this tree a cupped hand open to hold, support, and protect.
Super duper is seeing not only a hand but seeing God.PhotoPsalm 1 - Super Duper - Edward Goode
