This has been one of those weeks that has felt like at least two. There have been a good number of difficult situations that have arisen this week, some anxious moments, some crankiness that I was feeling through the week. There’s been some stuff - that might be the best way to put it. In addition to that has been the news of the world - six of the Israeli hostages killed, more Palestinians killed in the Israeli attacks, another school shooting with two teachers and two students dead after a dad bought his 14 year old an assault rifle as a gift...sigh. Yeah. A lot.
What stunning photos of the sunset and sunrise! I’m glad you listened to Scout 😉
Your sermon series sounds wonderful. Have you ever read “The Eyes of the Heart: Photography as a Christian Contemplative Practice” by Christine Valters Paintner? I found it invaluable as I began my own practice of Visio Divina or Sacred Seeing.
I am ordained in the PCUSA and my first two congregations I served were PCUSA congregations but I am currently serving a UCC congregation (yay for full communion!)
Those photos are beautiful. I am a little behind on my email. This morning driving to a house where I take care of the parrot when they are out of town, I noticed the beautiful sunrise, hiding a bit due to the trees but it was gorgeous.

I have - it is a beautiful book! So good!
And thank you!
Are you also in the PCUSA? I recently retired after 36 years in the parish and the Air Force chaplaincy.

I agree! I actually went to a UCC seminary (United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in St Paul, MN).

Have a lovely weekend.
I am very much looking forward to your sermon series. Thank you for this offering and all that you do.
Thank you! I’m excited for the series too!!
