Observing Advent - Day 09 - Delight
In Philippians 4, Paul tells us to rejoice. As if we didn't get it the first time, he reminds us to once again rejoice!
The word rejoice is defined as to feel or show great delight. This is a tremendous feeling when it comes over us. This isn't just ordinary happiness, but this is a joy that overflows and spills out all over the place.
I saw this sunset over Lake Norman in North Carolina a few weeks ago and as I was watching and shooting this (and others), I found myself able to only say one word over and over...glory. Glory. Glory. I was seeing a majestic example of the glorious creation God has given and my word of rejoicing was simply, "glory, glory, glory."
