So I have a long streak going in my journal of daily gratitude entries (2000+days and counting) but recently it has felt more like I have been going through the motions...
I also read Fr Rohr’s posts this week. It reminds me of Brother Lawrence’s “practicing the presence of God. 2 sides of the same coin. By the way, what an awesome charcuterie board!! Did you guys demolish the whole thing?
"The human brain wraps around fear and problems like Velcro. We dwell on bad experiences long after the fact and spend vast amounts of energy anticipating what might go wrong in the future." Oh my GOD this explains a work issue I've been having for a couple weeks. Thanks for the insight!
Read this yesterday, today found myself um, talking loudly at the bad driver in front of me at school drop-off. Decided to spend 15 seconds appreciating the PERFECTLY formed snowflakes gently falling on my windshield (no, we weren't moving 😉).

Brother Lawrence was onto a truth well before it was "researched." The wisdom of the ancients.
And yes the board was quickyl demolished by the 20+ people there...
Yeah me too, and Frank Laubach’s game with minutes. I did not know about the 15 seconds 💜🙏🏽
Your creative wife is a charcuterie artist! Thanks for this post about real gratitude today.

Ooh I didn't know FNV had a psalms edition!
And proverbs too!
Hey, I think I will try it starting today! fifteen seconds of trusting peace 3 or more times a day sounds good!
Love your posts, gratitude 🙏 is a gift of recognizing beauty, kindness, love. Fabulous charcuterie board!
