Matthew 14 - Into the Mystery

Matthew 14 tells two stories that are pretty hard to believe. Jesus feeding the 5,000 with just a little bit of bread and some fish and then Jesus walking on water. Both are stories that people have both tried to accept whole heartedly without any question or those who try to explain them away as lies, delusions, or some other method. I have gone both extremes and I find myself more and more drawn to the idea of mystery and just living in the mystery. Like this picture, there is the path that we are emerging out of into the divine and there is a hazy fog ahead. We may think we know what is beyond the bright haze and fog but it might not be as we expect. But we simply keep journeying into the mystery knowing that there is beauty all along the way.
