Mark 16 - Terror and Amazement - AYWJ 11

Mark's telling of the resurrection is my favorite. Especially the line about the women fleeing the tomb because of fear and amazement. I feel that is the most honest assessment of how one would receive the news of Jesus' resurrection. Yes there would be excitement and joy, but the whole thing was so unbelievable and awe-some that it would be natural to be afraid. It would be one of those limes in life where one could feel two seemingly contradictory feelings at the exact same time.
