Lent 42 - Great

Ok these are but a few of the MANY loaves of banana bread that have been baked in our kitchen the last few days. My wife helps to organize and run an amazing after school program which receives food donations from several different organizations. This week, one of the donations was of over 600 bananas. As the distribution wound down, it was clear that not all 600 bananas were going to be going home to kids and so my family came home with at least (we didn’t count) 100 bananas. We gave a away a bunch but we were still left with a LOT of bananas. So, one kid mashed dozens upon dozens while others mixed and we made at least 25 loaves, most of which have been given away as simple “you’re awesome” gifts to friends and neighbors. It was a #great project!
