Lent 2013 Photos - Day 16 - Earthy

In the beginning, the earth was a formless void.

I am struck by the creation story and so many that follow in Scripture about the earth, the land. Even going so far forward as to when Jesus stops the stoning of the unnamed woman, Jesus stoops down to write in the earth before he speaks. We have a connection to the earth. We are connected wholly and completely. We are not separate but intricately ties together.
