Lent 2013 Photos - Day 14 - Lift

This is a shot of a styrofoam plane that my oldest son has been playing with the last few days. An interesting thing happened when he first assembled it though. He put the horizontal stabilizer on the tail in the wrong place. Rather than sliding it through the slot, he just attached it to the back. And not surprisingly, it didn't fly very well. It did not have the lift necessary to soar. There's something in there about out faith lives as well. Quite often, we don't have things in the right place and as a result we don't fly very well. We aren't prepared for the lift the the Spirit can bring into our lives.
