Lent 2013 Photos - Day 08 - Evil

So, the snarky response on this one would be to simply take a picture of the assignment for today. How does one capture evil in a photograph? The more I thought about it today, I thought of the cycle of evil in the world. Something starts simple - seemingly a small act...then it spirals...add others to the cycle and suddenly evil has grown to something out of control. I find that there is great truth in the line from The Usual Suspects..."the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist." But then evil slowly shows its face and spirals. It is the challenge for people of faith to step into this spiral and speak the truth, love, and grace of God.
