Lent 07 - Enter

I know this is generally supposed to be a picture from the day of the theme but this theme of “Enter” immediately drew me back to a labyrinth that I walked and prayed the first time several years ago and that I have returned to several times since. I was beginning my sabbatical in 2015 when I went to a retreat center for several days of silence, listening, praying, writing, quieting and I discovered they had a simple beautiful labyrinth off in the woods on the property. And there it was, a sign at the entrance... “Enter.” I experienced it as an invitation and in the distance ahead you can see the destination, a place at the center of the labyrinth to sit, rest, listen, pray, and try to draw nearer to the heart of God.

Also, I have had this picture for nearly 5 years and I literally just now noticed the fuzzy caterpillar on the sign...not sure what that means but...all of God’s creatures I guess!
