Just Some Country Roads, West Virginia Photos

A few quick notes before heading to Country Roads and West Virginia…

Looking back, many of my recent posts have been a bit on the “heavier” side. Reflecting on the 250th, Theo of Golden, the Beholding Flag, and so forth. I thought I would just take a step away from the heavier and just share some of the beauty of the weekend we had in West Virginia last weekend. We spent a few days over the 4th weekend at the New River Gorge National Park and I thought I would just share some of the glimpses of beauty of that place.

First off, who knew that there was a Lego Rd in West Virginia! Sadly no houses built of legos on said street

One of my daughters and I went on an early morning hike hoping to see the sunrise at Grandview point. Unfortunately, it was fogged in to a massive degree. But that created some beautiful spiderweb photography moments, some sun rays through the fog and trees, and just some beautiful moments

Yay for low light pollution!

I was absolutely enchanted by these drippings of sap on a tree that I saw while out walking with Scout one morning. The first two are from the morning with the early sun reflecting through and the other two are the same photo from the evening but the 4th is zoomed in. Can you see Scout in the drop?

I’ll share the remainder ones individually - they are all from a hike my wife and I did our last morning there. It is called Endless Wall and there’s a beautiful (and some might say scary) point along it called the Diamond Point Overlook. I’m grateful that Scout is a good sport about these kinds of things!
