I wonder what it sounded like when the stone was rolled in front of the tomb. Was there any noise of finality to it? Or was it just the sound of stone being rolled along the ground? Who was there when the tomb was sealed? John describes Nicodemus being a part of a group who came to get Jesus’ body but the rest of the people are just described as “they.” Did the same group of women who came to the tomb several days later go when Jesus’ body was put in the tomb? How big was the stone? How many people were needed to roll it to close the tomb? What did it feel like to his followers when that tomb was sealed?
