Imago Gospels - 41 - Son/Sun

As I type this we are on our way back to the United States after an incredible and amazing trip. The blessing that it was and will continue to be, at this point cannot be expressed in words. This picture was taken as we were flying north-north-west over the Bering Sea and the sun was beginning to rise. I don’t know if this is scientifically accurate, but it felt like the sunrise lasted a very long time because of the direction we were flying. We will arrive in Philadelphia around 6:30am - right around sunrise or just after. It feels a bit like its a permanent sunrise as we are flying home this morning.

Like yesterday’s chapter, we are again presented with the story of a gift of a child who was spoken of in the first chapter. This child as it said in 1:33, “He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” This chapter tells of that promise being fulfilled. The rising of an eternal son.
