Today hasn’t been something I’ve seen per se, but instead somethings I read (so I guess it was what I saw). But a photo of something on a screen doesn’t have quite the same sense as a photo of a page of a physical book. C’est la vie. Anyway...two things I read this morning - one from Arianne Braithwaite’s
and the other from . Arianne had a beautiful reflection and prayer in her Monday Manna but it was one line in particular that spoke deeply to me.This will be more than enough...
It reminded me of something our conference minister, Rev David Long-Higgins shares in his weekly prayers... Let it be more than enough.
More than enough. Yes. May God’s hope be more than enough for what we need today.
And then shortly thereafter, I read Nadia Bolz-Weber’s Sunday reflection where she wrote, Advent “is the time in the Christian’s year when we try to wake up a bit, rub the spiritual sleep from our eyes and pay attention in a different way.” That is one of the simplest and most accurate ways to speak to why we set aside these seasons.
Thank you, Ed! So grateful this word met you! Your reflections continue to bless me a lot (and so many others).
