Gratitude and Grief
The flowers are gone. They’ve been with me throughout the pandemic and the unrest and have challenged me about movements, connections, conversations, and listening. So there’s my gratitude for all that those hundreds of flowers taught me.
But I grieve their loss today and I pray that our conversations and connections aren’t gone as well. I know that new ones will take their place and new life and new beauty will rise but I do grieve these ones that are gone.
