Gratitude 14 - Branches

While waiting between my daughter's lacrosse matches on Saturday morning, I noticed this lovely tree. I am sure it would have looked even better before the leaves fell, but in the day after the terrorist attacks in Paris, I was reminded by this tree about my gratitude for the ways that I am linked in with others, that I am not alone in faith and in life, but connected to something far bigger than just me.

So, I am grateful today for the congregation I serve, for the community I am a part of, for the denomination that we are linked to, for the nation that I am a citizen of, for the sisters and brothers throughout the world who are part of the same faith family, and for the root that we all have in the Creator who is behind it all.
