Gratitude 01 - Remembering

Psalm 118:1 - O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his steadfast love endures forever!

We began worship this morning with these words as we began our November focus on gratitude. I am planning on starting a practice personally throughout this month of sharing something for which I am grateful. Today is the remembrance we shared in worship this morning. We remembered those who have passed away in our congregation over the last year. With each name read, we lit a candle and remembered with gratitude that person and the impact they made on our lives, on our congregation, and the world. The words from Psalm 118 are appropriate on this day as we remember that God's love extends not just through this life but into a life beyond.

So, I give thanks for each person whose life we remembered today. I give thanks.
