I wish I knew where I found this quote but, for some reason, I didn’t mark where I found it in my quote-keeping app. But wow - what wisdom. (If anyone knows where this came from, please let me know and I’ll update it)

So today, just some glimpses I have seen the last few days around here. We live in a tumultuous world yes with a lot that is ugly and chaotic. But like the quote says, lifting up beauty is an act of resistance. Sharing beauty is an act of resistance. Creating beauty is an act of resistance. All of these say that the ugliness, the chaos, and the tumult will not have the final word.

One of our regular walking paths has the first reminder of the rhythms of seasons. These flowers emerging right about the same time as they do each year. I am also grateful for my journaling app that helps me to see these cycles that I might otherwise forget

Another reminder of the cycles...the butterflies are starting to arrive and enjoying the pollinator plants we have around our house. I love this one especially how the blue looks almost spraypainted on the wings

Light shining through the clouds...sunrays, glory rays - whatever term...beautiful

And then these last two...a unique beauty that ermerges because of smoke that has filtered down to Ohio from Canada. Gives some unique skies but breaks my heart for the reason behind it

And Scout of course too...staring at me wondering when dinner was going to show up while we wait for an event at church
