There was virtually no way that my day was going to get any better than how it started today. I was out for my morning walk and it was an absolutely stunning sunrise today. (Side note, I would love to dig into the science behind why some sunsets are so colorful and others not as much). Anyway, I was walking on the golf course near my house and sat down on a bench at the highest point on the course to simply take in the beauty of the morning. At that moment, I got a text from my oldest who is a first-year in college. He was heading out to his 8a class and wanted to share the sunrise he was seeing as he walked out of his dorm. Here’s what he shared.
It was so wonderful to know that, even though we were separated by more than a few miles, we were both in awe of the beauty of this morning. Technology often gets a bad rap for a variety of reasons (some very well deserved) but this morning it was a gift as my son and I were able to share an impromptu moment of beauty and wonder as we started our days. Here’s my favorite photo from my camera this morning.
