First off,
and I had a wonderful conversation about Halloween, Spooky Season, and of course Its The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. If you wanted to take some time to listen in to what we talked about, click/tap the image below. It feels like the Autumn switch really got flipped the last few days. The temperature has changed, the colors have shifted dramatically, my wife and I have had soup each night this week. Autumn is here. Not a lot to say other than to simply share a beautiful quote I read from Rilke on Tuesday night and then some photos.
Too Vast to Be Contained
We may yearn to come to rest in some small piece of pure humanity, a strip of orchard between river and rock. But our heart is too vast to be contained there. We can no longer seek it in a place or even in the image of a god or an angel.

A perfect water droplet…
And then a beautiful short rainbow…
Grace, Peace, Love, Hope, and Joy,
Ed
PS - Scout got into the rainbow act too…one of our daughters called said that Scout was a “snooticorn” after seeing this pic…
