Advent Day 4 - Beyond

Yesterday, Beckie shared a story that was very powerful of the relationship between a grandfather and grandson. I don’t know if it is a true story but there’s a deep amount of truth in it. What spoke to me in the story was how both the grandson and the grandfather were willing to move beyond what they’d always known to see something beautiful and different beyond. I feel that’s how Jesus is - we have a tendency to see the surface of things, the immediacy of things, and Jesus looks to something much deeper and far more beautiful. Thank you Beckie for your story.
